JAWS-UG, Japan’s Amazon Web Services User Group has now 44 branches, making it the largest AWS User Group in Asia Pacific.

We would like to thank JAWS-UG Oita Branch for posting a step-by-step guide on starting “WordPress on a virtual server (AMIMOTO) in AWS.”

Users will be led from start to finish. This tutorial will be useful for cloud users of all tech levels (from beginners to cloud masters) since it covers the basic steps of instance launch (such as AWS Console navigation, instance selection, WordPress installation, and instance termination).

WordPress on a virtual server (AMIMOTO) on AWS is only available in Japanese. However, besides this guide as a reference on how to launch your WordPress on AWS, there are also other Japanese (and English) resources available that may be used for the upcoming event: “WordPress on AWS Hands-on” at AWS Summit Tokyo 2015 (DevCon CMS on AWS Hands-on Track).

We love Open Source that’s why we get excited with every launch of a new open source software. Many open source software and projects were launched through the years.

Another thing we get excited with are technologies with useful features. For some years we learned quite a lot and gained experiences with various software and platforms including Amazon Web Services (AWS) and WordPress.

With the fusion of AWS, WordPress, Nginx and Proxy Cache, we were able to create AMIMOTO.

Social + Global

“We are a company that values meeting people, offering and sharing exciting experiences and happiness to whom we meet. That’s our pleasure.”

One of the missions we have in DigitalCube is to make positive contributions to the community that’s why we started various AMIMOTO User Groups around Japan; so this year we decided to create our first international meet up group in Singapore: AMIMOTO WordPress + Amazon Web Services for ALL Tech Levels.

The meet up in Singapore (26th of February) was a success, that’s why today we are very excited to announce our second international AMIMOTO User Group:

AMIMOTO WordPress + Amazon Web Services: Europe Group

Mark the 14th of September on your calendars as we take this next international meet up in Krakow, Poland.

This upcoming event is FREE and will be in hub:raum (Przemysłowa). Not only that hub:raum is a cool venue, but they also show love for the community by supporting projects and startups in Poland and other locations.

We will be participating and sponsoring WordCamp Krakow and we’ll definitely be there, including Contributor Day.
(About an hour) After Contributor Day will be AMIMOTO WordPress + Amazon Web Services Hands-on event.

Connect with us through the following for updates:

We will see you all there and Witamy w AMIMOTO Europe Group!
